Doctor's appointment and Christmas

I had another doctor's appointment yesterday...this one I had to do my glucose test and man...it was quite interesting. It doesn't matter how cold you get that stuff it just doesn't taste right. I am guessing that I passed because I didn't get a phone call telling me that I needed to come back today and do the three-hour test. We also had our 3-d sono and it was interesting but the pictures didn't come out as clear as I had hoped. We did get a decent picture of the hand up near the face but Dr. Wright couldn't get a clear enough picture to be for sure of the sex...that being said Dr. Wright felt that there was something around the bladder area that didn't seem quite right and so we are having to go to a specialist in Lubbock on Jan. 13th. I would like to ask all of you that read our blog to just keep us in your prayers as we go through the next 3 weeks of waiting and wondering. As soon as I have more information I will be updating.

Christmas is tomorrow and my children are just as excited as any other child is during this time of year...my dad will be here to eat Christmas dinner with us and then we will be getting things ready for Tanner to go spend the rest of his Christmas break with his dad. I hope that all of you are having a really great break and that tomorrow brings lots of wonderful memories. God Bless each of you!!

Vacation time

I am so glad that we are finally out for Christmas and that I can do some relaxing as well as begin getting things ready for the baby. We had such a wonderful day today...Jeremy's family was here for Christmas and of course we had too much to eat and just a wonderful time spending time together. Tanner is on his way to Amarillo to spend some time with his aunt and uncle before he has to leave for Big Lake at the end of the week. Emily is playing with her new treasure that she got for Christmas and Jeremy and I are sitting on the couch just trying to recover from all of the festivities of today. I ended up with some really great things for Christmas and I am truly looking forward to enjoying them. Everyone be sure to bundle up the next couple of days because of the cold front coming through...hope that you all are well and God Bless!!

Just a little closer

Well here it is the 13th of December and I am frantically trying to get all of the Christmas presents that we have bought wrapped and under the tree...I also need to get things ready for my the family to be here next Saturday so that we can start our celebrating. I am really looking forward to spending some quality time with all of our families. I hope that everyone is having a really good weekend and that you all are able to rest and relax. I know that it is a crazy time of year and that it seems as though it is never ending but it is well worth it to see the big smiles on everyone's faces. I really don't have a whole lot to post this time around but I am looking forward to a well deserved break and hope that everyone is well during this time of year.

I'm FINISHED!!

I never thought that I would be able to say that for this semester...but I am finished. I took my last final tonight and I got my final essay back and I am glad to be done. I ended up making a "B" in my World Lit. class and no matter how hard I tried I only got a "C" for my Elem. Stats class. I am looking forward to some well needed down time and just the opportunity to relax and enjoy some time with my family.

It is unbelieveable that Christmas is only 15 days away and I haven't quite finished shopping for my husband...not to mention the fact that I don't have any of the other presents that we have gotten wrapped and under the tree...lets hope that I find some extra time within the next couple of days to get all of that done. It is getting kinda late so I will end for now.

I hope that all of you are having a wonderful week and that you are surrounded by lots of love and warmth!!

Almost done

Well I have one class left and then I have the option of taking the final or just taking the average that I end up with after this last exam. I really am glad that it is over and that I will now be getting a short break. Things are going really well at home and I am hoping that my husband will be bringing in the Christmas tree tonight and we will be getting the house ready for Christmas. I am glad that the holiday season is here...it always seems to bring families and friends closer together. I hope that everyone is having a good week and that you have recovered from eating too much turkey and dressing.

A time for thanks

I am so ready to have all of Jeremy's family here for Thanksgiving. We have cleaned house and moved things around and I have baked Amish bread-yummy stuff!!-and I am fixing to make fruit salad and pretty much have the rest of the afternoon to rest and relax. I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope that all of you are safe as you travel to your many destinations...take care and God Bless!!

Its the weekend!!

I am glad that it is Friday evening and that the weekend in finally here. It is just me and Emily this evening and I am kinda looking forward to it. Jeremy and Tanner are on their way to the Boy Scout camp in Post, TX for a one night camp out...I know that it is going to be cold and that they are probably going to freeze but I am hoping that with all of the "stuff" that they have taken with them that they will survive one night.

I am really excited that Thanksgiving is just a few days away and that soon it really be the Christmas season. I really do enjoy this time of year because it just brings families closer together and you are able to spend time with those that you don't get to see as often as you would like. I hope that everyone had a great week and that you will have a very restful weekend...to end on this note...

GO RED RAIDERS!!!

My husband said "Not Yet..."

Well, I tried to get my husband to agree to putting up the Christmas tree so that it would all be ready for next week...BUT...he said that we needed to wait. I really am ready to put the tree up and get things done so that by next week when the family gets here it will be up. I am so excited about getting things done for the holidays.

I am counting down the days before this semester is over...I only have my final essay to write in World Lit. and I am down to the last four classes for my elem. stats. class. I really am ready for this semester to be over and I am looking forward to having a little bit of down time. Emily is home for the week and I am really happy to have her here...it always seems too quiet when she is gone but it is almost overwhelming when she gets home and has to explore everything all at one time. I know that she is a normal three-year old and that one day it won't be so much to take in at one time. I hope that everyone is doing well this week and I wish you the best holiday season!! May God bless and keep you during the wonderful time of year!!

Just a little while longer

Well, I took my third exam in my statistics class this evening and I must say that no matter how much I studied I just couldn't grasp this unit very well...I am glad that there are only a few classes left and then I will be getting a break for about a month. I am really looking forward to some down time although basketball season has started and Jeremy will be just as busy now as he was during football. I just can't wait until February...that is our down time and we can spend some time together before track season starts. It is hard to believe that our football season is over but I hope that the next few months will bring some good team players up. I am getting excited about the holidays coming up especially since everyone will be coming here this year!! I am already looking forward to getting the Christmas tree up and just turning my house into a happy holiday home. I hope that everyone is having a great week and I pray for each of you daily!!

Half-way there

Well I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and I was glad to hear the rapid heart beat of the baby...155 beats a minute...doctor said that everything looked really good that I was right on target with where I should be and that I am halfway through this pregnancy. It is hard to believe just how fast time is going with this one, before we know it it will be time to go to the hospital. I was able to go to Jeremy's last home football game last night and his team is just doing so well and I am so proud of all of them. There is a great group of parents that just cherish how well he interacts with their kids and that makes me proud. Tanner is getting ready to go on his camping trip with the scout troop and he is really looking forward to that. The semester is so close to being finished that that is hard to believe as well. I only have about 9 classes left in my math class and after this week there is only one more unit to cover in my World Lit. class, I am really looking forward to a break during the month of December.

It was good to get to see Brandi, Addie, Emmerson and Karen at the football game Friday night and I truly miss seeing them each week but I know that they are were they are needed. I hope that everyone is having a great week and hope to see you all soon!!

Tired

I know that it has been a while since my last blog and I really don't have any excuse as to why I haven't kept up with it except that I have been so very tired and I have been really busy with school and work. Emily is sick with an ear infection and a sore throat and I am grateful that my mother-in-law is able to keep her so that I don't have to use my days at school. Speaking of school-my classes are going well and I am glad that we are nearly halfway through the semester. I am really getting excited about being so close to finishing my associate's degree and knowing that soon I will start my bachelor program and finally be finished with school. I know that I still have a couple of years left but it seems so much closer now...I am really getting excited about getting the baby's room set up and starting to get a few things for the baby...we haven't been for sure told what it is but the last time that we were there the doctor said that it looked like a boy...we will just have to wait and see. I hope that everyone is having a really good week.

Disappointing

Well we had our first district game tonight and I must say that it was a disappointing start...our guys lost 40 -21 against San Angelo and now it is a must win next week against Big Spring. I hope that our boys will continue to lean on each other for strength and support. There were four wives that didn't make the trip to San Angelo so we went to Tracey's house and listened to the game on the radio. It was really nice to sit and visit with the rest of the ladies and enjoy some really good pizza and fellowship. I hope that everyone is having a good evening and that your weekend will be a restful one.

Birthday party and doctor's appointment

Well it has been a couple of crazy days with Emily's birthday being on Saturday and then having a doctor's appointment yesterday but I have survived and I feel pretty good. I can't believe that it has been three years since Emily was born and it seems so much like yesterday that I was just bringing her home from the hospital. She was so happy to have her family and a few friends over to play with...although she was more interested in playing then anything else and that was OK. It was good to see my family as well as Jeremy's parents and grandmother-hated to miss Richard and Julie but their lives are very busy this time of year...My brother and his wife were able to make it and it was good to see my niece Amy-she is getting so big and I can't believe that she will soon be 2!! Courtney of course is doing well and can't wait for the end of December as it looks like my other niece will be making her arrival just a little early. I was really glad to see that my dad was able to make it as he is not doing well health wise and will probably have to have surgery within the next month or so. I ask for lots of prayer there because it is always hard when one of your parents is not doing well as he is.

Now for the doctor's appointment that I had yesterday...Dr. said that everything looked really good and that the baby was weighing about 4 oz. already...baby is very active and he said that it looked as though it were a boy but that it is still just a bit early to tell so our definite will have to wait for another time. Overall I am doing good and he said that the placenta looked very well. I will do my best to post pictures from the birthday party as well as the sonogram that I got of the baby's face as soon as I can. Until then...everyone have a great week!!

Homecoming 2008

I must say that it was an exciting homecoming...our team beat Palo Duro 12-7. I am so glad that our boys were able to pull together and win this game. Emily looked so cute in her cheerleader outfit with the mum that the daycare made for her. I hope that this winning momentum will carry us through the rest of the season. I was able to get a couple of pictures of Emily before we left for the game and so I will post those now...

She kept wanting to play with the megaphone on it and couldn't seem to sit still long enough for me to get a real good picture.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!!

Season's change

I can't believe that it has been so long since I last posted. I am hoping that maybe I am be better at it as things begin to get into a more normal routine. This weekend is homecoming and Emily's birthday. I can't believe that it has been three years since she was born...she is changing so much. I guess I see it more now since she isn't home two nights a week and then when she comes back it is just easier to see these things. My mother-in-law says that she is reading way ahead of where she should be at this age. That excites me but then I begin to wonder how we will keep her involved as she gets older. I guess that is just the education part of me coming out. I hope to be able to get some pictures posted after this weekend so that everyone can see just how much she is growing up. I hope that everyone is having a great week and that they have big plans for the weekend as the summer fades into fall...I just love this time of year and everything that goes along with it...football, changing leaves and just the smell of harvest in the air. I hope that everyone has a good night.

Busy Day

Well I am glad that we got the rain that we needed but I worry that we may be getting too much. I have made it past the twelve week mark in my pregnancy and because of that I am feeling so much better...I do have a bit more energy and I can at least make it home after work or class and still be able to do more here at home. The only thing that I haven't noticed a change in is the sleeping pattern. I am still waking up a couple of times at night but it doesn't take long for me to go back to sleep. I am looking forward to the end of the month where I will have lots of family here to celebrate my daughter's 3rd birthday...I just can't believe that she will be 3!! It is amazing how time flies and I look at her and she is just changing so much everyday.

I have to say thanks to Meredith, coaches wife and friend, for watching Emily this morning while both Jeremy and I had to work...Emily has been asking about Brooklyn since I got home so I assume that things went well. I am so glad that I have such good friends who will help me when I need it most!! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend and also a restful one.

Feeling under the weather

Well, this morning my alarm clock went off and it hurt to move my arm to turn it off and then when I tried to get up my head felt as though it weighed 100 pounds (just an exageration). I thought well maybe if I get up and try to get ready for work things will get better but instead walking into the bathroom with the lights on just made it worse and I had to go back to bed. I just absolutely wanted to cry. I talked it over with Jeremy and decided that it would be best for me to just stay home and try to recover from all of it. So I some how mustered up enough to get Tanner dressed and Emily up and going and get them off to where they needed to be...I made it back home and slept until nearly noon. I think that the only reason that I woke when I did is because the thunder was so loud that it shook the entire house and the pictures that hang above our bed began to rattle and I was afraid that they were going to come off the nails. Crazy, I know but still it was pretty loud. I was feeling better and was able to finish up all of my math work that I needed to go over before class tonight. I picked up Emily from daycare at around 4:00 and was off to class. The rain apparently caused some problems with parts of the interstate at Hale Center because they had it completely closed off and you had to detour through town to get back on it on the other side. I must say traveling like that after storms is not great but it was good to see that all of the cotton as well as other crops got a well needed watering. Lets only hope that there won't be too much that the farmers aren't able to get into the fields to harvest. I am so ready to get back to work tomorrow although I was in much need of the rest that I was able to get today. I hope that everyone's Monday was much better then mine. God Bless and good night!!

Another doctor's appointment

Well I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything seems to be going well. I do have a sinus infection that could be part of the cause of my headaches...needless to say I am taking an antibiotic so that I can get over it pretty quickly. When the doctor tried listening for the heartbeat, he wasn't quite able to hear anything so we went to the sono machine so that he could isolate the heart beat and in the mean time Jeremy and I could see the baby just bouncing around and being very active...which makes me and Jeremy happy. It is always nice to be able to see an active baby and know that everything is going well.

I am also glad to hear that Tracy's doctor's appointment came out well and that we are still believing in PINK!! I am glad that things seem to be going well for her. The power of prayer is such an awesome thing. We just have to continue to pray that everything will continue to go well. It is good to have Emily back at home-there is always so much excitement when she is home-although I tend to miss the quite at times...I hope that everyone is having a great night and may God bless you!!

The first week

Well I made it through the first week of school...although I don't have a class full of kids, I still got pulled for everything from extra lunch duty to kindergarten assistant. I have always felt that I would probably teach either 2nd or 3rd grade...I absolutely am frightened of kindergarten and have made it clear that it wouldn't be a grade that I would teach. After this past week I believe that God is preparing me to do the one thing that I said that I wouldn't-teach kindergarten...I have learned to take everything in stride and just allow Him to direct my path.

Last night was suppose to be our opening football game for the season but due to the lovely rain and lightning that Lubbock got it was canceled and rescheduled for this morning at 11:00 AM. I wasn't able to go to the game this morning but I was able to listen to it on the radio, although we didn't win this game I do believe that our team will do well this season. I am really looking forward to the rest of the season. I hope that everyone has a wonderful and restful long weekend!!

miracles

You know there comes a point in your everyday life that you just aren't sure how you are going to pay this bill and make sure that you enough gas to get where you need to go and you tell yourself that the Lord will provide. He has never denied us any of our daily necessities and I have trusted in Him through out everything. Jeremy is a worrier...he always wonders how we are gonna make it for time to time especially with another baby on the way and the added expense of doctor bills. I have prayed for God to continue to provide for us and have had to lay it at His feet and just walk away from it. Today our prayers were answered. We received a check in the mail that we weren't expecting and we are now able to make sure that we make it just a little further then what we would have with just our paychecks. He is awesome...that is all I can say.

I do need to ask for prayers for my brother-in-law and his wife as they are going through a difficult time in their lives. I have truly learned the meaning of prayer these last few days and can only tell you that God does keep His promises by giving us our daily bread...whatever that may be. I hope that all of you have a great weekend. May God bless you always!!

Football...football...football

Man I am so excited about football. This is the time of year when I get to see my husband do what he loves to do...coach football. I am able to sit in the stands and just cheer him on along with the teams that he helps coach. It has been an exciting time already with new faces as well as some old ones and just getting back into the swing of things. I am greatful that I have other wives that can share the same passion as I do about what our husbands do as well as understand the long, lonely hours when our husbands are at work or on the road traveling. One added extra this year is that Tanner will be a ball boy so he gets to see up front exactly what is going on. I am so excited about all of it.

I took Tanner to meet his new teachers today and I was excited to learn that one of his teachers goes to church with us. Being connected even slightly always makes things better. Tanner was a little disappointed that some of his friends from last year are not on the same team but he knows that he will be able to see them through the course of the year. I hope that this will be a great year for all of us and that there are lots of new and exciting things just waiting for us.

I have to get ready to go to "Meet the Bulldogs" tonight, so I will leave everyone with blessings of a restful evening.

Bring on the rain

The rain is so wonderful and it was so needed...it makes you want to just curl up on the couch and not do a thing. I was glad to see that Tracy is doing well today and that hopefully she will be back at work soon. I am still having my headaches but they aren't as frequent as they have been. I am also glad that my husband has been at home the last few days to help out with the kids and some of the household duties. I know that starting next week there won't be much time to do anything but come in and fix supper and then get all of us to bed.

I am glad that we-coaches wives-are able to count on each other to help out when we need it even if we think we don't. I am glad that the Rosales family is enjoying the meals that we are able to provide. It is also great to have family that is close enough to be here when you need it. We will continue to pray for Tracy and the baby as well as the rest of the family.

I am getting excited about our upcoming season of football. I am also excited about our upcoming school year...you just never know what it will bring.

My sister-in-law will be going to the doctor this next week so we will know for sure when their baby is due...we can only hope that we are not delivering the same day...at least for the sake of my in-laws!!

Well it is about time to get off of here and start gathering up the family for bed. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the wonderful rain and that there is a restful night in store for all of us.

Lazy day

It has been so nice to be able to curl up on the couch and enjoy the cloudy day and just get some well needed rest. It seems like the last few days I haven't been able to sleep well whether it be restless sleep or the fact that there is a 2 year old child sleeping between me and my husband. Emily knows that something is different and she just isn't sure how to handle all of it. I hope that with school soon to start that a normal routine will help her adjust and be able to handle the new baby that is coming. I am truly looking forward to starting a new school year. It is always exciting to see kids wanting to learn. I am also ready for my school semester to start...I am so close to graduating and then transferring I just can't believe it! I know that it will all be worth getting through the next few semesters but it just seems that it is still so far away. I am truly blessed to be able to have the support of my family and friends that just keep cheering me on...thanks to all of you!! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day and God bless!!

Good outcome

Well I went to the doctor this afternoon because my headaches are just not getting any better and the doctor decided that it was probably due to an increased amount of progesterone due to the pregnancy. He gave me some different medicine and told me only to use it when it was necessary. He also told me that at my next doctor's appointment he wanted to see if there was any changes in my headaches. Hopefully by then I won't be experiencing anymore but we will have to wait and see. I am glad that it wasn't anything really serious and hopefully everything will be better in the next two weeks. Jeremy was relieved to find out that it wasn't anything major and that it will probably pass. My blood pressure was good and he said that everything else looked really well-what a relief. I hope that everyone is having a great week...it is officially over for some and for others it is just a few days away...time to re-join the "working" class-haha...

Finally Done

Well I am finished with my summer session and I am so glad of that...I didn't do as well this session as I did the last but there was a lot going on and there was just a lot of reading and for some reason I just couldn't seem to get interested in it. Psychology and Government just are very interesting but at least I have finished and I am just two semesters away from graduating from South Plains College. It has been such a crazy summer and I am really excited that I am finally done. I hope that this next semester will be just as smooth as these summer sessions have been. It has been a long day and I am really tired. Here lately I have been getting more headaches and I am really concerned since I am taking Tylenol almost daily. I know that tylenol is safe to take during pregnancy but I am a little weary about taking it daily. I will probably be calling the doctor's office tomorrow and see what he can do to help out with these headaches. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful evening. God Bless!!

getting back into the swing

Well we are slowly trying to get back into the routine of getting up early and going to bed early and all of that good stuff...I have truly enjoyed this summer and not really having to worry about much of anything. I am glad that it will soon be coming to an end so that my family and I will be able to get back on track and actually have some type of normalcy-if that is even a word. Jeremy is now officially a working man and he is really having a hard time dealing with it...he didn't want to get up this morning and then he decided that everyone else in the house needed to get up with him...it wasn't a problem for me but the children on the other hand didn't see it the same way. I hope that everyone is having a great time and that you are making the most of the last days of summer...

What a day...

Well I had my first doctor's appointment today and everything seems to be going ok. The doctor did do a sono and I was able to see the little blob and also hear the heart beat...makes me feel great to be able to hear that. Jeremy got home late this evening and to be honest I wish that he would go away and come back in a better mood. I understand that he is probably tired but all he has done is griped since he got here and it isn't making life easier right now. Emily was glad to see her daddy but you can tell that she isn't real sure how to act because she wants him to do stuff with her and he just gets frustrated. I hope that tomorrow will be a better day after he gets to sleep in his own bed tonight. Well I better try to get Emily settled down for the night and off to bed. Hope that everyone is doing well...just a few more days until we all head back to the grindstone.

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Oh my goodness...

Well today is the first day that I have experienced any type of sickness and let me just say that I hope that that will be the last of it. I am still so very tired and no matter how much sleep I get I just can't seem to get enough. Emily is beginning to act really clingy and it is so hard to leave her at daycare crying for me. I know that once school starts back up things will go a lot smoother when I drop her off. Jeremy will be home tomorrow and Tanner will be home on Friday and I will be glad to get some type of routine started before school. My second summer session is coming to an end and I am so glad of that. Pyschology and Golf wasn't so bad but my Government class was a slight killer and I hope that I pull a "C". I better go and see where my daughter is and what she is doing. I hope that everyone is having a great week.

Packing

Well tomorrow Jeremy and a few other coaches are leaving to head to San Antonio for the annual Texas Coaches Association coaching clinic. In other words there will be a whole bunch of coaches in San Antonio having just a grand old time. While he is gone I will be here with Emily just hanging out and trying to get things ready for the beginning of school. We went at picked up all of Tanner's school supplies earlier in the week and now I have just got to go through and put his name on everything. He will be home on Friday and I am glad of that. It seems like he has been gone more this summer then in years past. I am scheduled to go to the doctor on Wednesday to get all of my prenatal stuff taken care of. We are getting excited about everything and we are hoping that we don't have any problems this time. I only have a few more days left in this second summer session and I am really looking forward to a break before the fall semester starts. I hope that everyone is doing well and having a great time. Enjoy this what is left of our summer days and God Bless!!

Craziness!!

I must say that it has been a crazy few days!! First of all I find out that I am pregnant and then yesterday my brother-in-law calls and says that they are expecting as well...I am so happy for them and the whole crazy part about this is that we are due just 3 days apart!! Talk about some perfect timing. I am really excited for them, they have been wanting a baby for a while. I hope that everything goes well for them and that Julie doesn't have any problems. I am excited that our family is growing so fast...I hope that everyone is doing well and that your summer has been great.

The wonders of God!!

It has been such a crazy few days...I have been trying really hard to keep caught up on my second summer session. Jeremy is getting ready to go to San Antonio for coaching school. Yesterday Jeremy and I found out a bit of surprising news...we are expecting another little one and let me just say it was a bit of a shock. We haven't gone to the doctor yet but we have taken enough home tests to know that it isn't something that I ate...haha!! We had talked about having another baby but we were planning for at least a year from now but God has His timing and I don't question it...I accept it and go on. We told Tanner today and he was slightly confused but then was a little excited...he would like a brother, not another sister he says that one sister is enough. All that I want is a healthy baby. I sympathize with Tracy as far as morning sickness because I have experienced some of it starting this morning. I hope that everyone is having a great summer and can't believe that school is just around the corner!! I will keep everyone updated as we learn more!!

Counting down the days

I can't believe that in just a month we will be back into the swing of things...this summer has gone by rather quickly. Tanner is back at his dad's for the last summer visit and then he will be home. Emily is just growing by leaps and bonds and is just talking up a storm. I am glad that I have been able to spend more time with her this summer and really watched her grow. We have started doing little things around the house such as painting a couple of the rooms and talking about painting the trim around the outside of the house. Seems a little crazy to be doing some of this stuff but it has given the house a fresh look. Well it is quite late and I might better get off to bed...Emily doesn't sleep as I would like for her to these days!! God bless and everyone have a great night!

Just another Monday

I am sitting here listening to my son and my husband playing MLB on the PS2...Tanner has been gone for a few days seeing his grandparents and now they are enjoying some "male bonding" time or so they say. I am glad that they are able to have some good time together before Tanner leaves again for his last summer visit with his dad and step-mom. Tomorrow starts my 2nd summer session and I am looking forward to getting it started and done with. Emily is trying to go to sleep but all I hear is some giggling coming from her room and I am wondering just what she is doing. I am so greatful for my husband...while I am working my parttime job he does some of the housework and some of the laundry so that I don't have to try to do it all on my days off...it has been really nice knowing that he is here to help out. I guess that I better go and try to get Emily down for the night.

4th of July

I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July...My brother-in-law and his wife came over and we cooked out on the grill and then they decided that they needed to take Emily with them for the weekend. Tanner is at his grandparents and will be home tomorrow and then he is off one more time to see his dad before we get ready to start school again. I start my second summer session on Tuesday and I am really ready to get the next two semesters over with and then I will be able to focus on my bachelor's degree. I can't believe that it is already July, time has gone by rather quickly...I hope that everyone is having a great summer break.

One Down...One to Go!!

Well I finished my first summer session and pulled a 4.0...man it was just a little tough!! I have a week off and then it is back into the full swing of things with the second summer session. Other than that, we haven't done a whole lot of anything since we got back from coaches outreach. We are starting to fix up the house and do odd things to do such as painting the trim outside...replacing the dishwasher and probably going to paint the bathrooms before we have to start school. Tanner will be leaving next Friday for his last summer visit with his dad...it is always hard when he leaves but I am glad that he can spend time with his dad and step-mom and two younger brothers. I hope that everyone has a wonderful 4th of July!!

Life...

I know that it has been a while and let me just say there is good reason for it...I have been so busy either working at my part time job or doing homework. It is so crazy that I seem to have less time right now then when we are in school. I am so glad to hear that Tracy and Richard had such a great time at Coaches Outreach and then being kept up to date about how things are going with Nate at the Talent Expo. I hope that everything goes well for him and that he gets to follow his dream!! Tanner is going to be staying with his grandparents this week and then next Friday-one week from 4th of July-he will be headed back to his dad's for three weeks...it is unbelieveable that this summer is going by so quickly. I have enjoyed being at home and having good times with my kids and husband. We decided that we were going to move Tanner into the front room in our house and move the office to the back part of the house but let me just say that although it sounds rather simple-it has not been-I am hoping that we can get all of it finished before Tuesday so that I can really focus on finals for the first summer session. Well it is about time to get off of this thing and get ready for bed. God Bless!!

More Pictures

This is the resort that we stayed at for Coaches Outreach...

We were looking around the resort and walked up on a bunch of deer...they never did flee from us they looked at us and just kept eating. It was awesome as well as beautiful!!

This last one is of a deer coming out of one of the driveways of a house just behind the resort...

An Amazing Weekend

Well, I must say that I am a little sad to be home but I am also glad to see my kiddo...Tanner will be home on Friday and I am looking forward to that as well. This past weekend was just amazing. Our speaker just knew how to put it into words that we all could understand and be able to apply these things to our life. Jeremy and I have decided to try to apply some of theses things to our life and allow God to truly work in our marriage. I keep thinking about the song: "Trust and Obey"...that song has a lot of meaning to it and we have to learn to just do as it says. It may seem easy now but there will come a time when it won't be and that is when we must truly learn to let God take control. We met some really great couples within our small group that in some awesome way knew what we were going through...it was nice to see Steven and Carrie Shipley and see how the kids are growing so fast. There was another couple that lives in Garden City but his parents live here in Plainview and her parents live in Lubbock. It is wonderful to see God working in our lives. I hope that Richard and Tracy as well as Shay and Brandi will get just as much if not more out of their marriage conference this weekend...I am praying for you even now. May God continue to bless each of you.

We Made It...

After a grooling afternoon being stuck in Austin traffic we finally made it to the resort. It got a little tense as Jeremy and I were tryin to get here so that we could begin refocusing but we are doing just fine. The speaker is Justin Beadles-he's awesome-the most important thing that I took out of our first session last night was that we must fight to have a great marriage. Most of his text came out of the 13th chapter of Numbers...it really does make sense. God has given us a great marriage but in order to keep it that way we must fight for it. Love being here just praising God and knowing that there is a lot that He has in store for us!!

Fun Times

Well...we have had a really great time the last few days just sightseeing and catching up with old friends. We took some pictures of the capital building as well as some other points of interest and I thought that I would post a few so that everyone could see them.

Here is a picture of the capital building. Jeremy just loved being
able to tour it as well as the Texas History Museum.

This was an awesome tour that we took...only problem was that

we weren't able to take pictures within the museum.

Here are some pictures of us hanging out with our friends...we just had such an awesome time catching up as well as reminiscing about old times...

Here is Rusty and Jeremy grilling kabobs and shrimp for us...

Sarah and Temperance emptying the dishwahser...

I can't believe that Temperance 13 months old and full of life!!

Temperance playing in the kitchen...

This afternoon we are headed to Coaches Outreach for a weekend full of spiritual time with each other as well as praising and growing in God. It is just an awesome time for us to really get back in tune and re-focus about what it's all about-GOD!! Hope that everyone has a great weekend!!

It's here!!

Well Jeremy and I left Lubbock this morning at 7:00 am headed to Austin...everything went well until we got to Austin and didn't have a rental car-frustration...I nearly started crying but I took a step back said just a tiny little prayer and tried it again and in the end, we got a car. So Jeremy and I took in some of the sights there and really enjoyed some time together!! We then left Austin and headed to Cleburne to see our best friends and have some well needed down time. We are just happy to be able to have some together time...seems like here lately things have been so crazy that we don't see each other much. We are looking forward to our weekend of growing...I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week!! As soon as I am able to I will post some pics of the trip this far!!

Can't Wait

Well here it is Saturday night and I have all of these things that are just racing through my mind...I have to wash and pack Emily tomorrow as well as start getting things taken care of around the house. Jeremy and I are spending the night in Lubbock on Tuesday night so that we don't have to get up so early to be at the airport in time. I start to think I have a hold on things and then I remember that there is something else that I need to do. Jeremy just tells me to calm down and that everything will take care of itself. I am sure it will and if not there will be a Wal-Mart within driving distance should I forget something that is essential...Tanner will be home week after next and let me just say that I am ready for him to come home. You never really realize just how much life they bring into your home until they aren't here to do that. I know that it is always good for him to see the rest of his family but it is still hard. Emily just keeps asking for him and we just remind her that he is gone and she is good for a little while. Before too long she will be asking again and we have to start all over again but at least I know that she is trully missing her brother. Well I guess I better get busy trying to gather up thing for the next week!! God Bless!!

Busy, Busy

Well even though summer vacation has officially started I am still rather busy...the first summer session started on Monday and I spent the whole morning in Lubbock playing golf...I was very tired by the time I had gotten back home that afternoon. I knew that the golf class wasn't going to be a breeze but I didn't realize that it would be so much work...I then started looking at my other two classes that I am taking online and let just say that I won't be having much time to do anything for a few days but homework-the price that I will pay to finish my degree and transfer so I can get finished with school. Jeremy has been rather busy trying to get his CDL to drive a bus for next year. I know that it will all work out in the end but I am rather frustrated that I haven't seen much of my husband but I know that it will all change. Emily is changing daily and it just amazes me how much her vocabulary is growing and how she seems to be growing up more and more. I am counting down the days until Jeremy and I get on a plane and head for Austin to spend some time growing together in God...I look forward to our time away because I know that it will strengthen our marriage just that much more. I hope that everyone is having a great summer thus far!!

Summer is here

It has been really nice not to have to worry about getting back to work tomorrow. It has been nice just being able to spend some time with my family. Tanner is spending some time with his dad and step-mom and it has been quiet around here. I am ready for him to be home already and Emily has been searching all over for him...she isn't quite old enough to understand that he has to go and see his dad but we can entertain her enough that she soon forgets for a little while. I start summer school tomorrow and I am a little anxious to get things started. I hope that everyone is enjoying some much needed time off and that your summer is filled with lots of fun...

The last day

Well, today was the last day of school and let me say that it was physically exhausting as well as emotionally...I can't believe that Tanner will be going to the 5th grade next year...it seems as though he was just starting school. He was a little upset that he would not be in the same school as me next year and also that he wouldn't have Mrs. Halblieb. I told him that everything would work out and that he would have another teacher later on that would have a big influence on him as she did. He will be leaving tomorrow to spend 3 weeks with his father and step-mom and then he will be back last part of June to spend some good times with us...it is always nice to have some down time but I always look forward to him coming home. I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer and hope to see all of you soon!!

Memorial Day

It was really nice to not have to get up early this morning and rush to get the kids up and dressed and then rush to get to work...I hope that everyone had a beautiful Memorial Day...Jeremy and I went over to the Frazier's house last night and it was really good to see all of our good friends one more time before the summer is here. It was good to get to spend some time with those friends of ours that will soon be moving on to other destinations. It turned out to be a really good night to watch the guys play washers and have the kids just running around and playing. Tomorrow is the awards assembly at school and I am really looking forward to seeing what all Tanner has accomplished this year. Other then that there hasn't been a whole lot happening around here. I am glad that it was sunny and that there wasn't any major storms today although it looked as though there might be some coming up early in the evening. I am greatful for the freedoms that we have and always remember the sacrifices that were made for those freedoms. Let us not forget those men and women who are not able to spend this holiday with their families. God bless our military men and women!!

Beautiful weekend

Well I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!! Emily is spending the weekend with my in-laws and Tanner just got home from spending the night with a friend and going to the movies-they went to see the newest Chronicles of Narnia movie and he said that it was really good. Jeremy and I went over to Matt and Victoria's house last night and helped them do some things to help get their house ready to put on the market...it was nice to be able to sit and visit with them and hang out. The weather has been so beautiful and warm. It would have been great to just sit outside and enjoy the beautiful blue sky but the mosquitos are so awful that they could probably have carried us off...Jeremy has been over there most of today helping Matt get the fence rebuilt and he should be home anythime now...I can't believe that the end of school is just around the corner. I am very excited about being able to spend so much time with the kids and my husband. I hope that you all have a relaxing weekend.

New pictures

I thought that I would add some new pictures of Emily and as soon as I get some of Tanner I will add those as well...

Emily is getting in some practice of making faces at her daddy for when she is older.

Emily is holding Naveh (a foster baby). My mother-in-law was watching her for a friend. Emily wasn't happy when I was holding her, in fact she walked away from me after she saw me.

The last one is where she passed out watching a movie in the rocking chair...

I can't believe just how much she is changing everyday. I hope that everyone enjoys the pictures.

Friends

It's always difficult when God puts wonderful friends in our lives and you grow with them and become close and then God takes them somewhere else...it has been a difficult few weeks as we learn that so many coaching friends are being lead other places. When I married Jeremy, I knew that this would be our way of life but it doesn't get any easier...I pray daily that our friends will let God guide them through these tough times and that He will place wonderful people in their lives!!
I can't believe that there are only seven days left of school. Jeremy and I are counting down the days until we can board a plane for Austin and get some much needed "couple" time together. We are going to a Coaches Outreach marriage conference but we weren't as brave as Richard and Tracy to lead a small group-my hat is off to you both for doing such a thing!! I have to say thanks to Tracy for sparking my interest in the marriage conference. Two years ago after their first conference she talked about it so much during many football games, we decided that we would go and see what it was all about and now...we are going back for our second one and we are truly looking forward to it!! It is amazing to see how much you grow together in just a few short days and learn how to keep it growing.
Other then that we will be staying close to home this summer...we may take a weekend trip to Cloudcroft, NM and spend some time with family but for the most part we are home this summer...Tanner will be gone off and on seeing his dad and step-mom as well as other family. Emily will spend about a week and a half with Jeremy's parents in the mountains (unless they feel it necessary to keep her longer). I hope that everyone has a fabulous end of school year!!

To the friends that are pursuing better dreams-May God keep you and bless you all of your days!!

Thanks so much

I want to say thank you to everyone who either left birthday wishes or sent me cards or anything else for my birthday...I was really great!! I spent the evening home with my family and enjoyed some good family fun. The last few days have been so crazy that I haven't had much time to catch up with everything. Tanner had a PTA program on Thursday evening and Friday we had field day at school-made for a busy day. The next couple of weeks are going to be fast and furious and then I hope that it will slow down just a little bit. I am so ready for some much needed down time as is my family. Tanner will be gone off and on during the summer and it is always hard on Emily when he isn't here...they love each other so much and she always seems a bit lost without him...the older that she gets the harder it is. I hope that everyone has a wonderful, restful weekend. It is such a blessing to have the much needed rain.

Getting older

Well, tomorrow is my birthday and I can't believe that another year has gone by...My in-laws sent me this card and as I was reading it I started crying-go figure. Tanner was sitting in the car with me and just kept looking at me and probably thinking to himself...she has lost it!! After getting him to football practice and going to pick up Emily from the daycare, I made it home just in time to do just little bit of straightening up-although it doesn't look like it right now due to my daughter-before Jeremy and Tanner were coming in. These days are going by fast but the evenings are going by even quicker. I can't believe that next week is the spring football game and then we are pretty much done with the school year!! Our lives are on such a fast track that sometimes I can't tell if we are coming or going. Well I am going to try to get the house picked back up one more time before we all call it a night. I hope that everyone is having a great week.

It's Been A While

OK...so it has been a while since I was last on...I finished my Spring semester with a 3.5...I was prettty happy with that!! I had Jeremy's family over on Friday evening for dinner and had a really good time visiting and eating some really good food!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day...Jeremy and the kids got me some flowers that I can plant in the flower bed in front of the porch and I am really excited about getting them in there so that they can bloom and bring just a little bit of color to the front of the house. Jeremy also grilled steaks for me and they were so yummy!! I am thankful that I had such a wonderful day!! I can only hope that everyone else had as wonderful a day as I did...I must say good-night and try to get my daughter in bed before 11:00...

It's Over!!

I just finished sending my final English essay in for grading and let me say that it is such a relief to not have to worry about it any longer...whatever the outcome, I am just glad it is finished...I must say that the rain has been such a wonderful and refreshing blessing...as long as it doesn't get too severe and we end up having to take off to the next door neighbors. I can tell that it is really late so I am not gonna be long. There is only 17 more days of school left and I am trully looking forward to some time off and away. I hope that everyone is having a great week!! The thunder is calling and I so is my pillow...so I am off for hopefully a very restful night.

A Long Weekend

It was so nice to not have to get up early today and just hang out around the house. We did just a little bit of spring cleaning here and got Tanner's room completely cleaned out and carpet cleaned as well. We even went ahead and took down the wallpaper border that we put up right after we moved in...he said that he was getting a little big for all of that. We are going to probably move him into the front bedroom this summer and move our office/guestbedroom to the back part of the house. This evening Jeremy grilled pork chops outside and now I am just hanging out and getting ready to write my final essay for English and then I am finished with this semester!! I took my final exam last night for History and got final grades back today...I pulled an "A" for that class and I'm hoping for either a high "B" or an "A" in English...I was talking to Jeremy earlier and figured that there was only 35 days before we fly out to Austin for our special getaway...can't wait!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful relaxing long weekend!!

Busy Times

What a day...as most everyone knows I work part-time at the JCPenney outlet store here and it is getting to that time of year that we are doing inventory and let me say it is just crazy...I am so glad that Jeremy is here to take care of the Emily and help Tanner with whatever he is doing at the time. I don't think that I could make it through without him...I thank God every night for blessing me with such a wonderful husband and friend. There are still times when I go all fuzzy inside just thinking about him...some old friends would always tease me when I would start to talk about him at work and they would always say that they could tell who I was talking about even if they couldn't hear what I was saying because of the smile on my face and the sparkle in my eyes...THANK YOU LORD!! When I need just a little encouragement Jeremy is right there to give it. I know that he loves our kids and would lay down his life for them if the need were to arise. Our lives tend to take on a crazy ride at times but I can always count on him to keep everything pulled together when it is needed. To hear him reading a book to Emily and turn around and be wrestling with Tanne just makes my world seem right. We are truly blessed to have such a strong faith and love for our Lord and each other. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!

Friday, May 2, 2008

Family Time

Well I must say that I am glad it is Friday...It was a long and somewhat stressful week and you could just feel it from the kids at school as well as my husband and son. I am so glad that we can just hang out around the house and enjoy some down time. Tanner is camping with his cub scout troop and will be back tomorrow afternoon some time. So it's just me, Jeremy and Emily and she is keeping both of us on our toes...She demands so much of our attention and especially Jeremy's...it just makes me laugh when she calls out to him and how he caters to her every need...she is the "Princess" but I must say thatshe doesn't reign over the house...I am glad that we have a 3 day weekend-as I have said several times-and we don't have a whole lot to have to rush and do. I can just sit around the house and relax. I hope that everyone's weekend is very relaxing.

The beautiful sound

I am sitting here listening to my daughter play with her daddy and I just can't think of any other sound that I would rather be hearing. It is such an amazing thing to be able to enjoy such special times. I am so glad that the week is nearly over and that we have a 3 day weekend. It will be nice to be able to just sit and relax...well to an extent...I am so glad that the semester is almost over and that I will have just a little bit of down time before the first summer session. I really am ready for just some quality family time. I am just a little envious of my in-laws because as I am typing this blog they are headed out to Mayhill, NM to set up their travel trailer for their summer vacation. I am happy for them...that gives us a reason to go to the beautiful New Mexico mountains for some much needed down time during the summer...well about time for me to get the kids ready for bed and settle in for the night. Sleep well all...may the angels watch over you.

Happy Hump Day!!

I can't believe that it is already Wednesday and that tomorrow is May 1st!! Yesterday was such an interesting day with TAKS test going on and then there was a "fire" at school and I was going to be sacrificing life and limb because I couldn't find Tanner and I knew that he was down the hall where smoke had been seen but some other teachers grabbed him and took him out front. Thank you...thank you. From there I took him to football practice and tried to get just a little bit of studying done before I had to go get Emily and then it was off to cub scouts...wow...talk about fast and furious...Today, not such an eventful day but getting closer to a 3 DAY WEEKEND!! I am looking forward to some "quiet" time and hopefully some really good studying...I take my last exam on Sunday and turn in my final essay on Tuesday and then thats it. Before you know it school will be letting out for the summer and thats when it will really be crazy!! Anyway, hope that someone else's week was just as crazy and eventful and if not...your missing out on life!! HAHA!!

Monday, April 28, 2008

Manic Monday

I must say that it was fast and furious today...trying to get everything taken care of before these dreaded TAKS tests. I only hope that everything goes well the next three days and that we don't have any major issues. Emily is so much better then she has been...she even slept almost the whole night last night. I know that with her not feeling well that she has had some troubles but I am hoping that things are getting back to normal. My best friend's little girl turns 1 on Thursday...can't hardly believe that it has been nearly a year since she was brought into this world. I am so excited about getting to see them in June...seems like the older we get, the harder it is to get together with them. I am counting down the days until I board a plane and spend just a few days with them and my wonderful husband!! Well it is that time of evening that I must get ready to feed the hungry crew!! Hope that all of you had a wonderful Monday and that the rest of the week is as uneventful and destressed as it can be!!

Sunday, April 27, 2008

The Quite

After getting my children ready for bed and putting all of the other pets to bed for the evening it feels good to just sit and listen to the quite of the house. I got everything taken care of around the house and I was able to do just a little studying before I took my quiz and I feel really good about it. It is so nice to just sit and not worry about anything else for the rest of the evening. Hope everyone had a wonderful and restful weekend and that everyone is ready to start another productive week.

Another beautiful day here

After we finished cleaning the rest of the house and then deciding that we needed to clean the carpet in Emily's room I am finally able to sit down, do just a little bit of studying and prepare for a Texas History quiz. I can't believe that just another week and a half and the semester is over. There won't be much of a break because before I know it, it will be time to start the summer sessions but it is only a small price to pay for getting that much closer to finishing my degree. Even though the wind is blowing pretty good here...it has still turned out to be another beautiful day...hope that everyone has a restful Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow its back to work...

Saturday, April 26, 2008

The weekend

Well I was able to sleep in this morning and it was really nice to be able to do it. Emily is much better this morning and has actually been able to eat some "real" food today and seems to be handling it rather well. After cleaning house most of the morning and really getting some spring cleaning done, we enjoyed an afternoon nap and now my husband is out back grilling some steaks...I SO love the warmer weather and all of the wonderful things that come with it...I can't believe that in just over a month school will be out and there will be lots more fun times to come!!

Friday, April 25, 2008

The end is here

Well it has been a long day and let me say that I am glad it is over. Thanks Tracy and Nate for the encouraging words that some how always make it a little easier. I am truly blessed with wonderful friends!! Emily is beginning to feel a little better and I am hoping that by tomorrow she will be able to eat something a little more solid. It is always hard when the little ones are sick and there is not much that you can do for them. All I wanted to do was sit and hold her and wish that it would all go away...but that's what Mom is supposed to do...right? Hope everyone has a wonderful, restful night!!

Friday...Friday...Friday

Well it started off really well and that I got a phone call from the daycare that Emily was sick and it just went down hill from there. I took Emily to the doctor and learned that she has viral gastroitis and that she will not be able to eat much of anything for the next 24 hours or so. Clear liquids and then start slowly with bland, soft solids...in other words Pedialyte and then applesauce, toast, and things of that nature. I hope that someone else is having a better Friday then me. Happy weekend!!

Spring is in the air!

Oh my, things are really getting crazy around here. Monday the guys start spring football so...good-bye husband. It truly makes him happy to be out doing what he loves and for that I am greatful to God!! What would we do without HIM? I look forward to the coming weekend and some well needed rest. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Another beautiful night

As we are getting our daughter to bed and I realize just how blessed I truly am. Our life has just taken us to some new places. I have some wonderful friends that I don't know that I would be where I am if it had not been for them. God truly blesses us when we least expect it. I hope that everyone has a restful night and that God will pour many blessings upon you tomorrow!!

Just getting started

OK...I guess I have caught the blogging bug from some others and I hope that it all works out. I have started my page and I hope that I am able to get it setup like I want and that everyone will be able to see my beautiful family. Here goes nothing!! Thanks Brandi and Tracy for getting me interested.
