New Family Pictures

I have posted updated pictures of the kids as well as our family pictures.  Hope you all enjoy.

A New Year

It's been just over a month since my last blog and so much has happened.  We spent Christmas at home most of the time but did venture out to Amarillo for a family gathering and then to Lubbock for the 2nd gathering.  Tanner left on Christmas day to spend the last week with his dad.

Last minute New Year's weekend we decided that we would take a trip to Glen Rose and bring in the new year with Sarah and Rusty and the kids.  Had a GREAT time.  Gives me great hope for the New Year knowing that I brought in 2012 surrounded by friends I consider FAMILY.

Tomorrow Tanner will turn 14 and I just can't imagine that it has been that long since I spent a nearly 12 hours in labor to have this precious thing placed in my arms and heard the words "Congratulations Mom."  He entered the world at 3:19 PM and weighed 5 lbs 13 ozs.

In 2 weeks, our family and my ex-husband's family will enjoy a long weekend in Ruidoso, NM in a cabin.  The guys (Jeremy, Tanner, Robert, Rustin, and Dell) along with some of the kids (Emily, Logan, Leevi, and Kateri) will be skiing down Ski Apache.  Although I don't partake in the skiing part, I will enjoy some great fellowship with Cecilia, Jessica, Kristin, and Ashley and of course my little man Brayden.  I hope everyone has a great new year.

Our enemies have no reason to gloat over us.  We have fallen, but we will rise again.  We are in darkness now, but the LORD will give us light.  Micah 7:8

Christmas...LOVE IT!!

Tonight was the Gauntt Christmas Open House and Jeremy and I along with Brayden ventured out and enjoyed the company.  Tomorrow, Tanner has a basketball tournament in Hereford and the entire family will be taking part in cheering the team on.  I am enjoying the fact that I am home for the time and that I can spend quality time with my little ones.

I hope that each of you has a great weekend!!

Try it again

I realize that it has been nearly 3 months since I have posted on the blog...even though I promised that I was going to do better.  It is always promised with the best intentions.  Life has gotten crazy but that shouldn't be an excuse.  I have found this wonderful sight called "Pinterest" and I must say that it consumes my time almost as much as FaceBook does.  There are lots of interesting things to be found here and I have included one blog that I am now following and hoping that I can put some of those ideas to good use.  I hope each of you has a great day and a blessed holiday season.

Football 2011

Tomorrow starts the next to last semester for me at Wayland Baptist University.  I am really excited to be so close to finishing and starting a new chapter in my life.  We took pictures Friday evening for the Bulldog website which is http://www.plainviewdogpoundfootball.com/ and of course I will include one of the pictures that was taken.

One week from tomorrow starts the 2011-2012 school year and both Tanner and Emily are really ready to start back and see what is in store.  Emily has cheer camp this week and then we have Meet the Bulldogs Thursday night at the stadium.  Hope that all of you close enough to Plainview will come out and support our boys.  I am truly looking forward to this year's football season...can't wait to see what is in store for this year's team.

Wright Family 2011 Football Season
I hope that each of you has a great week and that God has many blessings in store for each of you.

Psalms 40:2-4 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

and so it begins...

Well, I am little late posting the beginning of football season but I am excited to say that we are a week into practice and things are busy...yesterday was the first day of full pads in practice and today was Bulldog Alley and the watermelon feed. It was exciting to see the boys out there hitting each other and getting excited about the upcoming season. This evening we had our annual coaching family get together...SOO much food and such great fellowship. The kids have such a great time hanging out in the pool and playing water football...it is just never-ending.
Tomorrow is Sunday and so we will be up and at it early for church and then to come home and get ready for another work week. I ask for prayers as there will be auditors in the building on Monday to make sure that we are following federal guidelines...also this week, Emily will be registered for school and I just can't believe that she will be starting kindergarten, my how time does fly when we are having fun.
Jeremy and I truly believe that God has kept us in Plainview for a reason and that whatever that reason may be, we accept it and look forward to the many blessings that will be coming our way. I will end this blog with this favorite Bible passage
Psalms 25:1-7 "Unto thee Oh Lord, do I lift up my soul. Oh my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Show me thy ways oh Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation: on thee do I wait all the day. Remember Oh Lord thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness; for they have been ever old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, Oh Lord."
I hope that everyone has a great week and that everyone's football season is a great one!!

A new promise

So after I promised nearly a year ago that I was going to do my best to keep up with the blog and then for some odd reason, I had a really hard time following through with that promise. I am going to do my best to at least post once a month on the blog. I will end this post with a few new pictures and a wishes of a great upcoming season.

It has been a while

I know that it has been over a year since I have posted to the blog and I am going to do my best to keep up with it. So, let's see where to begin...

Tanner will be starting the 7th grade this year and Jeremy will be coaching him...I know that this year will prove to be rather interesting BUT we are looking forward to it.

Emily will be starting pre-k at PCA and she is beyond excited. I have mixed emotions as it is the realization that she is growing up. I hope that she will continue to hold on to the excitement as she gets older...

Brayden...what can I say about him?? He is such a precious baby and I know that our family is complete with him. He keeps me on my toes. I can't seem to turn my back for very long before I know that he is into something.

Jeremy will be starting his 6th season here in Plainview. He is always busy and I just love him for the passion that he has for what he does. He always seems to connect with his athletes in such a way that amazes me.

As for me, I will be starting another semester at Wayland and getting that much closer to completing my bachelor's degree in education and finally becoming a certified teacher. Life is going well and I am looking forward to another year. I know that we will be rather busy this year since Tanner will be involved with football. I pray that I will be able to keep up with everything. I think that I will end this here.
