Almost done

Well I have one class left and then I have the option of taking the final or just taking the average that I end up with after this last exam. I really am glad that it is over and that I will now be getting a short break. Things are going really well at home and I am hoping that my husband will be bringing in the Christmas tree tonight and we will be getting the house ready for Christmas. I am glad that the holiday season is here...it always seems to bring families and friends closer together. I hope that everyone is having a good week and that you have recovered from eating too much turkey and dressing.

A time for thanks

I am so ready to have all of Jeremy's family here for Thanksgiving. We have cleaned house and moved things around and I have baked Amish bread-yummy stuff!!-and I am fixing to make fruit salad and pretty much have the rest of the afternoon to rest and relax. I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope that all of you are safe as you travel to your many destinations...take care and God Bless!!

Its the weekend!!

I am glad that it is Friday evening and that the weekend in finally here. It is just me and Emily this evening and I am kinda looking forward to it. Jeremy and Tanner are on their way to the Boy Scout camp in Post, TX for a one night camp out...I know that it is going to be cold and that they are probably going to freeze but I am hoping that with all of the "stuff" that they have taken with them that they will survive one night.

I am really excited that Thanksgiving is just a few days away and that soon it really be the Christmas season. I really do enjoy this time of year because it just brings families closer together and you are able to spend time with those that you don't get to see as often as you would like. I hope that everyone had a great week and that you will have a very restful weekend...to end on this note...

GO RED RAIDERS!!!

My husband said "Not Yet..."

Well, I tried to get my husband to agree to putting up the Christmas tree so that it would all be ready for next week...BUT...he said that we needed to wait. I really am ready to put the tree up and get things done so that by next week when the family gets here it will be up. I am so excited about getting things done for the holidays.

I am counting down the days before this semester is over...I only have my final essay to write in World Lit. and I am down to the last four classes for my elem. stats. class. I really am ready for this semester to be over and I am looking forward to having a little bit of down time. Emily is home for the week and I am really happy to have her here...it always seems too quiet when she is gone but it is almost overwhelming when she gets home and has to explore everything all at one time. I know that she is a normal three-year old and that one day it won't be so much to take in at one time. I hope that everyone is doing well this week and I wish you the best holiday season!! May God bless and keep you during the wonderful time of year!!

Just a little while longer

Well, I took my third exam in my statistics class this evening and I must say that no matter how much I studied I just couldn't grasp this unit very well...I am glad that there are only a few classes left and then I will be getting a break for about a month. I am really looking forward to some down time although basketball season has started and Jeremy will be just as busy now as he was during football. I just can't wait until February...that is our down time and we can spend some time together before track season starts. It is hard to believe that our football season is over but I hope that the next few months will bring some good team players up. I am getting excited about the holidays coming up especially since everyone will be coming here this year!! I am already looking forward to getting the Christmas tree up and just turning my house into a happy holiday home. I hope that everyone is having a great week and I pray for each of you daily!!

Half-way there

Well I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and I was glad to hear the rapid heart beat of the baby...155 beats a minute...doctor said that everything looked really good that I was right on target with where I should be and that I am halfway through this pregnancy. It is hard to believe just how fast time is going with this one, before we know it it will be time to go to the hospital. I was able to go to Jeremy's last home football game last night and his team is just doing so well and I am so proud of all of them. There is a great group of parents that just cherish how well he interacts with their kids and that makes me proud. Tanner is getting ready to go on his camping trip with the scout troop and he is really looking forward to that. The semester is so close to being finished that that is hard to believe as well. I only have about 9 classes left in my math class and after this week there is only one more unit to cover in my World Lit. class, I am really looking forward to a break during the month of December.

It was good to get to see Brandi, Addie, Emmerson and Karen at the football game Friday night and I truly miss seeing them each week but I know that they are were they are needed. I hope that everyone is having a great week and hope to see you all soon!!

Tired

I know that it has been a while since my last blog and I really don't have any excuse as to why I haven't kept up with it except that I have been so very tired and I have been really busy with school and work. Emily is sick with an ear infection and a sore throat and I am grateful that my mother-in-law is able to keep her so that I don't have to use my days at school. Speaking of school-my classes are going well and I am glad that we are nearly halfway through the semester. I am really getting excited about being so close to finishing my associate's degree and knowing that soon I will start my bachelor program and finally be finished with school. I know that I still have a couple of years left but it seems so much closer now...I am really getting excited about getting the baby's room set up and starting to get a few things for the baby...we haven't been for sure told what it is but the last time that we were there the doctor said that it looked like a boy...we will just have to wait and see. I hope that everyone is having a really good week.

Disappointing

Well we had our first district game tonight and I must say that it was a disappointing start...our guys lost 40 -21 against San Angelo and now it is a must win next week against Big Spring. I hope that our boys will continue to lean on each other for strength and support. There were four wives that didn't make the trip to San Angelo so we went to Tracey's house and listened to the game on the radio. It was really nice to sit and visit with the rest of the ladies and enjoy some really good pizza and fellowship. I hope that everyone is having a good evening and that your weekend will be a restful one.

Birthday party and doctor's appointment

Well it has been a couple of crazy days with Emily's birthday being on Saturday and then having a doctor's appointment yesterday but I have survived and I feel pretty good. I can't believe that it has been three years since Emily was born and it seems so much like yesterday that I was just bringing her home from the hospital. She was so happy to have her family and a few friends over to play with...although she was more interested in playing then anything else and that was OK. It was good to see my family as well as Jeremy's parents and grandmother-hated to miss Richard and Julie but their lives are very busy this time of year...My brother and his wife were able to make it and it was good to see my niece Amy-she is getting so big and I can't believe that she will soon be 2!! Courtney of course is doing well and can't wait for the end of December as it looks like my other niece will be making her arrival just a little early. I was really glad to see that my dad was able to make it as he is not doing well health wise and will probably have to have surgery within the next month or so. I ask for lots of prayer there because it is always hard when one of your parents is not doing well as he is.

Now for the doctor's appointment that I had yesterday...Dr. said that everything looked really good and that the baby was weighing about 4 oz. already...baby is very active and he said that it looked as though it were a boy but that it is still just a bit early to tell so our definite will have to wait for another time. Overall I am doing good and he said that the placenta looked very well. I will do my best to post pictures from the birthday party as well as the sonogram that I got of the baby's face as soon as I can. Until then...everyone have a great week!!

Homecoming 2008

I must say that it was an exciting homecoming...our team beat Palo Duro 12-7. I am so glad that our boys were able to pull together and win this game. Emily looked so cute in her cheerleader outfit with the mum that the daycare made for her. I hope that this winning momentum will carry us through the rest of the season. I was able to get a couple of pictures of Emily before we left for the game and so I will post those now...

She kept wanting to play with the megaphone on it and couldn't seem to sit still long enough for me to get a real good picture.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!!

Season's change

I can't believe that it has been so long since I last posted. I am hoping that maybe I am be better at it as things begin to get into a more normal routine. This weekend is homecoming and Emily's birthday. I can't believe that it has been three years since she was born...she is changing so much. I guess I see it more now since she isn't home two nights a week and then when she comes back it is just easier to see these things. My mother-in-law says that she is reading way ahead of where she should be at this age. That excites me but then I begin to wonder how we will keep her involved as she gets older. I guess that is just the education part of me coming out. I hope to be able to get some pictures posted after this weekend so that everyone can see just how much she is growing up. I hope that everyone is having a great week and that they have big plans for the weekend as the summer fades into fall...I just love this time of year and everything that goes along with it...football, changing leaves and just the smell of harvest in the air. I hope that everyone has a good night.

Busy Day

Well I am glad that we got the rain that we needed but I worry that we may be getting too much. I have made it past the twelve week mark in my pregnancy and because of that I am feeling so much better...I do have a bit more energy and I can at least make it home after work or class and still be able to do more here at home. The only thing that I haven't noticed a change in is the sleeping pattern. I am still waking up a couple of times at night but it doesn't take long for me to go back to sleep. I am looking forward to the end of the month where I will have lots of family here to celebrate my daughter's 3rd birthday...I just can't believe that she will be 3!! It is amazing how time flies and I look at her and she is just changing so much everyday.

I have to say thanks to Meredith, coaches wife and friend, for watching Emily this morning while both Jeremy and I had to work...Emily has been asking about Brooklyn since I got home so I assume that things went well. I am so glad that I have such good friends who will help me when I need it most!! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend and also a restful one.

Feeling under the weather

Well, this morning my alarm clock went off and it hurt to move my arm to turn it off and then when I tried to get up my head felt as though it weighed 100 pounds (just an exageration). I thought well maybe if I get up and try to get ready for work things will get better but instead walking into the bathroom with the lights on just made it worse and I had to go back to bed. I just absolutely wanted to cry. I talked it over with Jeremy and decided that it would be best for me to just stay home and try to recover from all of it. So I some how mustered up enough to get Tanner dressed and Emily up and going and get them off to where they needed to be...I made it back home and slept until nearly noon. I think that the only reason that I woke when I did is because the thunder was so loud that it shook the entire house and the pictures that hang above our bed began to rattle and I was afraid that they were going to come off the nails. Crazy, I know but still it was pretty loud. I was feeling better and was able to finish up all of my math work that I needed to go over before class tonight. I picked up Emily from daycare at around 4:00 and was off to class. The rain apparently caused some problems with parts of the interstate at Hale Center because they had it completely closed off and you had to detour through town to get back on it on the other side. I must say traveling like that after storms is not great but it was good to see that all of the cotton as well as other crops got a well needed watering. Lets only hope that there won't be too much that the farmers aren't able to get into the fields to harvest. I am so ready to get back to work tomorrow although I was in much need of the rest that I was able to get today. I hope that everyone's Monday was much better then mine. God Bless and good night!!

Another doctor's appointment

Well I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything seems to be going well. I do have a sinus infection that could be part of the cause of my headaches...needless to say I am taking an antibiotic so that I can get over it pretty quickly. When the doctor tried listening for the heartbeat, he wasn't quite able to hear anything so we went to the sono machine so that he could isolate the heart beat and in the mean time Jeremy and I could see the baby just bouncing around and being very active...which makes me and Jeremy happy. It is always nice to be able to see an active baby and know that everything is going well.

I am also glad to hear that Tracy's doctor's appointment came out well and that we are still believing in PINK!! I am glad that things seem to be going well for her. The power of prayer is such an awesome thing. We just have to continue to pray that everything will continue to go well. It is good to have Emily back at home-there is always so much excitement when she is home-although I tend to miss the quite at times...I hope that everyone is having a great night and may God bless you!!

The first week

Well I made it through the first week of school...although I don't have a class full of kids, I still got pulled for everything from extra lunch duty to kindergarten assistant. I have always felt that I would probably teach either 2nd or 3rd grade...I absolutely am frightened of kindergarten and have made it clear that it wouldn't be a grade that I would teach. After this past week I believe that God is preparing me to do the one thing that I said that I wouldn't-teach kindergarten...I have learned to take everything in stride and just allow Him to direct my path.

Last night was suppose to be our opening football game for the season but due to the lovely rain and lightning that Lubbock got it was canceled and rescheduled for this morning at 11:00 AM. I wasn't able to go to the game this morning but I was able to listen to it on the radio, although we didn't win this game I do believe that our team will do well this season. I am really looking forward to the rest of the season. I hope that everyone has a wonderful and restful long weekend!!

miracles

You know there comes a point in your everyday life that you just aren't sure how you are going to pay this bill and make sure that you enough gas to get where you need to go and you tell yourself that the Lord will provide. He has never denied us any of our daily necessities and I have trusted in Him through out everything. Jeremy is a worrier...he always wonders how we are gonna make it for time to time especially with another baby on the way and the added expense of doctor bills. I have prayed for God to continue to provide for us and have had to lay it at His feet and just walk away from it. Today our prayers were answered. We received a check in the mail that we weren't expecting and we are now able to make sure that we make it just a little further then what we would have with just our paychecks. He is awesome...that is all I can say.

I do need to ask for prayers for my brother-in-law and his wife as they are going through a difficult time in their lives. I have truly learned the meaning of prayer these last few days and can only tell you that God does keep His promises by giving us our daily bread...whatever that may be. I hope that all of you have a great weekend. May God bless you always!!

Football...football...football

Man I am so excited about football. This is the time of year when I get to see my husband do what he loves to do...coach football. I am able to sit in the stands and just cheer him on along with the teams that he helps coach. It has been an exciting time already with new faces as well as some old ones and just getting back into the swing of things. I am greatful that I have other wives that can share the same passion as I do about what our husbands do as well as understand the long, lonely hours when our husbands are at work or on the road traveling. One added extra this year is that Tanner will be a ball boy so he gets to see up front exactly what is going on. I am so excited about all of it.

I took Tanner to meet his new teachers today and I was excited to learn that one of his teachers goes to church with us. Being connected even slightly always makes things better. Tanner was a little disappointed that some of his friends from last year are not on the same team but he knows that he will be able to see them through the course of the year. I hope that this will be a great year for all of us and that there are lots of new and exciting things just waiting for us.

I have to get ready to go to "Meet the Bulldogs" tonight, so I will leave everyone with blessings of a restful evening.

Bring on the rain

The rain is so wonderful and it was so needed...it makes you want to just curl up on the couch and not do a thing. I was glad to see that Tracy is doing well today and that hopefully she will be back at work soon. I am still having my headaches but they aren't as frequent as they have been. I am also glad that my husband has been at home the last few days to help out with the kids and some of the household duties. I know that starting next week there won't be much time to do anything but come in and fix supper and then get all of us to bed.

I am glad that we-coaches wives-are able to count on each other to help out when we need it even if we think we don't. I am glad that the Rosales family is enjoying the meals that we are able to provide. It is also great to have family that is close enough to be here when you need it. We will continue to pray for Tracy and the baby as well as the rest of the family.

I am getting excited about our upcoming season of football. I am also excited about our upcoming school year...you just never know what it will bring.

My sister-in-law will be going to the doctor this next week so we will know for sure when their baby is due...we can only hope that we are not delivering the same day...at least for the sake of my in-laws!!

Well it is about time to get off of here and start gathering up the family for bed. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the wonderful rain and that there is a restful night in store for all of us.

Lazy day

It has been so nice to be able to curl up on the couch and enjoy the cloudy day and just get some well needed rest. It seems like the last few days I haven't been able to sleep well whether it be restless sleep or the fact that there is a 2 year old child sleeping between me and my husband. Emily knows that something is different and she just isn't sure how to handle all of it. I hope that with school soon to start that a normal routine will help her adjust and be able to handle the new baby that is coming. I am truly looking forward to starting a new school year. It is always exciting to see kids wanting to learn. I am also ready for my school semester to start...I am so close to graduating and then transferring I just can't believe it! I know that it will all be worth getting through the next few semesters but it just seems that it is still so far away. I am truly blessed to be able to have the support of my family and friends that just keep cheering me on...thanks to all of you!! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day and God bless!!
