Today the church that Jeremy and I attend is giving us a baby shower and I am very excited to see what wonderful treasures will be given for Brayden to use when he makes his arrival. Jeremy's family is coming in and I am really looking forward to getting to see them and visit with them. It seems like there always has to be something else happening in order to get all of us together for a good visit. We are all so busy with our own lives that we can never seem to just get together for the heck of it. I really enjoy being able to see my brother-in-law and his wife as well as my father and mother-in-law. Jeremy's grandmother is coming with them and I am glad that she will be here to see the kids. She doesn't get out much and so she enjoys being able to travel to see everyone.
I learned just a couple of days ago that my application for graduation from SPC has been accepted so now all that I need to do is finish the last two classes that I have and then I can move on to a bachelor's program!! I am so excited to reach this milestone and know that it won't be much longer and I will be fulfilling a dream that I have long had. I hope that all of you have a great weekend and I will post pictures from the shower soon!!

Just a little while longer
We are just about done with getting the babies room ready. We have to go to Lubbock this afternoon so that we can get a few pieces of furniture since everywhere that we have looked in Plainview doesn't have what we are wanting. I am really excited to finally get things done and just focus on resting and taking care of the rest of the family until Brayden finally gets here.
School is going very fast this semester and for that I am glad because it will be time for graduation before I know it. The kids are doing well and I enjoy watching them just play and have fun with each other...I hope that everyone is having a great weekend and that you are all ready to start a new work week tomorrow.

Really quick
I know that it has been a while since my last post but we have been really busy trying to get things done around the house as well as the spring semester has started at SPC and even though I am only taking 6 hours there is a lot of required reading for those 6 hours. We were finally able to get the baby's room set up and I am anxiously awaiting his arrival-I know that it is still 6 weeks away but I can't wait.
This past Monday was the first of two baby showers that we are being honored with and I was so happy to get so many wonderful things for Brayden-yes, that is his name. After it was all said and done I went home that evening and began putting things away and moving things around and I am looking forward to the next baby shower toward the end of the month to see what wonderful things we will be getting there. I didn't bring my camera to the shower but there is a picture that was taken of me and Tracy with the wonderful cake and I will hopefully be able to post it soon so that all can see it...I hope that everyone is doing well and I promise to post more later!!

Weekend time
Well here it is Friday evening and we are getting ready to go to the pancake supper and then to watch the girls and boys basketball teams take on Abilene Cooper...Tanner is on his way to Plains to spend some time on the farm with his other side of the family. He always enjoys going out there and "doing" something with the tractors or whatever else they have going on. We have plans this weekend to start clearing out the office and begin bringing baby things in from the storage building. I know that I have at least another six weeks or so before he gets here but I can't helped but be a little stressed about the fact that we don't have his room even started. I am truly looking forward to getting started on it.
It's a good thing that most of the stuff that we are wanting to do will be inside since the weather is going to be changing to more winter-like then spring. I am hoping that winter will arrive soon and that maybe we will get some type of moisture. I don't want a whole lot of it but we so desparately need something to help settle the junk that seems to be getting everyone's sinuses all worked up. Well I guess that I need to go and get ready for the supper and the game. I hope that all of you have a wonderful weekend and that you all stay warm!!

This is proof that it is a boy...

Long weekend
It is a long weekend for us as we don't have school on Monday and I am looking forward to being able to get some things done around the house that are desperately needing to be done. We did get Emily's room re-arranged as well as her dresser and closet completely cleaned out and ready for the "new" clothes that she has gotten within the last few weeks or so. She is doing lots better...she hasn't had an allergic outbreak since Thursday evening and I am so glad that things are going well for her.
Well I will start my final semester at SPC on Tuesday...I am really looking forward to getting started and then being able to finish and then getting the opportunity to move on to the next step. I hope that everone is having a good weekend and that you all get to rest and relax before having to go back to school on Tuesday.

Doctor's appointment
Our doctor's appointment today went very well...the doctor didn't see anything abnormal on the sonogram and said that the baby looks very well. HE...yes it has been confirmed...weighs about 3 pounds and 9 ozs...a little bigger then normal but that is OK. Jeremy is very happy at all of the good news that we received especially about the confirmation of it being a BOY. I do have some good pictures that I will post so that everyone can hopefully see...I want to thank all of you for the many prayers that were said during the last few weeks as we waited for this visit to finally get here. One downside to the visit is that the baby is breech but there is still time for him to turn. I do have to go back at the end of February but it is just a follow up visit and nothing more. I hope that all of you are having a great week and I will post more soon!!

Busy Week
This week is going to be rather busy for all of us...tomorrow Jeremy has a basketball game and then Tuesday I have a doctor's appointment in Lubbock and it is also Tanner's birthday. Wednesday afternoon I have another doctor's appointment here and then I have to work Thursday evening. Friday will be a day to just rest for a little while and then of course there is the weekend...we are trying to get the baby's room ready but our time seems to be running out fast. I am glad that I had a good weekend and didn't have to work the whole time...I was able to go through some clothes that were given to us for the baby and get them sorted out by sizes. The next thing that I will need to do is wash all of the clothes in baby detergent and then get them put up in the dresser. I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend and that you are ready for another week of work...one good thing about this week is that we get a three day weekend!! God bless all of you!

Back to work...
Well...here I sit watching the last few hours of my Christmas break pass by and I am just slightly bummed about it. Although it will be good to get back into a somewhat normal routine it is hard to get yourself prepared to have to get up early in the morning as well as get the kids up and going. I hope that everyone had a really good break and that you are all ready to get back to it. I hope that everything is going well for all of you in this new year.
I do have some good news to share...my brother and his wife have a beautiful baby girl...she was born yesterday afternoon at 2:47. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. I am so excited that she has finally made her arrival!!

Doctor's appointment and Christmas
I had another doctor's appointment yesterday...this one I had to do my glucose test and man...it was quite interesting. It doesn't matter how cold you get that stuff it just doesn't taste right. I am guessing that I passed because I didn't get a phone call telling me that I needed to come back today and do the three-hour test. We also had our 3-d sono and it was interesting but the pictures didn't come out as clear as I had hoped. We did get a decent picture of the hand up near the face but Dr. Wright couldn't get a clear enough picture to be for sure of the sex...that being said Dr. Wright felt that there was something around the bladder area that didn't seem quite right and so we are having to go to a specialist in Lubbock on Jan. 13th. I would like to ask all of you that read our blog to just keep us in your prayers as we go through the next 3 weeks of waiting and wondering. As soon as I have more information I will be updating.
Christmas is tomorrow and my children are just as excited as any other child is during this time of year...my dad will be here to eat Christmas dinner with us and then we will be getting things ready for Tanner to go spend the rest of his Christmas break with his dad. I hope that all of you are having a really great break and that tomorrow brings lots of wonderful memories. God Bless each of you!!

Vacation time
I am so glad that we are finally out for Christmas and that I can do some relaxing as well as begin getting things ready for the baby. We had such a wonderful day today...Jeremy's family was here for Christmas and of course we had too much to eat and just a wonderful time spending time together. Tanner is on his way to Amarillo to spend some time with his aunt and uncle before he has to leave for Big Lake at the end of the week. Emily is playing with her new treasure that she got for Christmas and Jeremy and I are sitting on the couch just trying to recover from all of the festivities of today. I ended up with some really great things for Christmas and I am truly looking forward to enjoying them. Everyone be sure to bundle up the next couple of days because of the cold front coming through...hope that you all are well and God Bless!!

Just a little closer
Well here it is the 13th of December and I am frantically trying to get all of the Christmas presents that we have bought wrapped and under the tree...I also need to get things ready for my the family to be here next Saturday so that we can start our celebrating. I am really looking forward to spending some quality time with all of our families. I hope that everyone is having a really good weekend and that you all are able to rest and relax. I know that it is a crazy time of year and that it seems as though it is never ending but it is well worth it to see the big smiles on everyone's faces. I really don't have a whole lot to post this time around but I am looking forward to a well deserved break and hope that everyone is well during this time of year.

I'm FINISHED!!
I never thought that I would be able to say that for this semester...but I am finished. I took my last final tonight and I got my final essay back and I am glad to be done. I ended up making a "B" in my World Lit. class and no matter how hard I tried I only got a "C" for my Elem. Stats class. I am looking forward to some well needed down time and just the opportunity to relax and enjoy some time with my family.
It is unbelieveable that Christmas is only 15 days away and I haven't quite finished shopping for my husband...not to mention the fact that I don't have any of the other presents that we have gotten wrapped and under the tree...lets hope that I find some extra time within the next couple of days to get all of that done. It is getting kinda late so I will end for now.
I hope that all of you are having a wonderful week and that you are surrounded by lots of love and warmth!!

Almost done
Well I have one class left and then I have the option of taking the final or just taking the average that I end up with after this last exam. I really am glad that it is over and that I will now be getting a short break. Things are going really well at home and I am hoping that my husband will be bringing in the Christmas tree tonight and we will be getting the house ready for Christmas. I am glad that the holiday season is here...it always seems to bring families and friends closer together. I hope that everyone is having a good week and that you have recovered from eating too much turkey and dressing.

A time for thanks
I am so ready to have all of Jeremy's family here for Thanksgiving. We have cleaned house and moved things around and I have baked Amish bread-yummy stuff!!-and I am fixing to make fruit salad and pretty much have the rest of the afternoon to rest and relax. I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope that all of you are safe as you travel to your many destinations...take care and God Bless!!

Its the weekend!!
I am glad that it is Friday evening and that the weekend in finally here. It is just me and Emily this evening and I am kinda looking forward to it. Jeremy and Tanner are on their way to the Boy Scout camp in Post, TX for a one night camp out...I know that it is going to be cold and that they are probably going to freeze but I am hoping that with all of the "stuff" that they have taken with them that they will survive one night.
I am really excited that Thanksgiving is just a few days away and that soon it really be the Christmas season. I really do enjoy this time of year because it just brings families closer together and you are able to spend time with those that you don't get to see as often as you would like. I hope that everyone had a great week and that you will have a very restful weekend...to end on this note...
GO RED RAIDERS!!!

My husband said "Not Yet..."
Well, I tried to get my husband to agree to putting up the Christmas tree so that it would all be ready for next week...BUT...he said that we needed to wait. I really am ready to put the tree up and get things done so that by next week when the family gets here it will be up. I am so excited about getting things done for the holidays.
I am counting down the days before this semester is over...I only have my final essay to write in World Lit. and I am down to the last four classes for my elem. stats. class. I really am ready for this semester to be over and I am looking forward to having a little bit of down time. Emily is home for the week and I am really happy to have her here...it always seems too quiet when she is gone but it is almost overwhelming when she gets home and has to explore everything all at one time. I know that she is a normal three-year old and that one day it won't be so much to take in at one time. I hope that everyone is doing well this week and I wish you the best holiday season!! May God bless and keep you during the wonderful time of year!!

Just a little while longer
Well, I took my third exam in my statistics class this evening and I must say that no matter how much I studied I just couldn't grasp this unit very well...I am glad that there are only a few classes left and then I will be getting a break for about a month. I am really looking forward to some down time although basketball season has started and Jeremy will be just as busy now as he was during football. I just can't wait until February...that is our down time and we can spend some time together before track season starts. It is hard to believe that our football season is over but I hope that the next few months will bring some good team players up. I am getting excited about the holidays coming up especially since everyone will be coming here this year!! I am already looking forward to getting the Christmas tree up and just turning my house into a happy holiday home. I hope that everyone is having a great week and I pray for each of you daily!!

Half-way there
Well I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and I was glad to hear the rapid heart beat of the baby...155 beats a minute...doctor said that everything looked really good that I was right on target with where I should be and that I am halfway through this pregnancy. It is hard to believe just how fast time is going with this one, before we know it it will be time to go to the hospital. I was able to go to Jeremy's last home football game last night and his team is just doing so well and I am so proud of all of them. There is a great group of parents that just cherish how well he interacts with their kids and that makes me proud. Tanner is getting ready to go on his camping trip with the scout troop and he is really looking forward to that. The semester is so close to being finished that that is hard to believe as well. I only have about 9 classes left in my math class and after this week there is only one more unit to cover in my World Lit. class, I am really looking forward to a break during the month of December.
It was good to get to see Brandi, Addie, Emmerson and Karen at the football game Friday night and I truly miss seeing them each week but I know that they are were they are needed. I hope that everyone is having a great week and hope to see you all soon!!
